Crossroads English as a Second Language and High School Equivalency classes

Crossroads Adult Education Literacy

The Education Service Center, Region 2 (ESC-2) is pleased to offer Adult Education Literacy (AEL) program services to the eleven county Coastal Bend Workforce Region. ESC-2 is excited to be able to serve adult learners, and be a part of their journey toward personal success. The AEL program embraces and supports the realization of all adult learners’ personal vision for self-actualization. Our mission is to help each participant set and attain goals that lead to personal, academic and career improvement.

The INGLESIDE site is our newly remodeled Room 4 of the Education Wing of Ingleside United Methodist Church. We are offering FREE Adult Education classes in:

English as a Second Language (ESL)

6-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays

Room 4—IUMC Education Wing

Burlington English app available for personal devices after 12 class hours

High School Equivalency Preparation (HSE)

6-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays

Room 4—IUMC Education Wing

PLATO personalized app available for personal devices after 12 class hours

Our classes have a rolling enrollment policy which allows participants to join at any time. After completing the enrollment application and placement testing, each participant joins a class. Our enrollment is increasing with each class meeting but we still have room for more! If you or anyone you know can benefit from this grant-based service, please contact the church office @ 361-776-2820 or come to a class early to start the enrollment process.
