Education Department Announces New Study "Acts 29"

The Monday Morning Bible Study, which meets at 10 a.m. every Monday in Room 4, is starting a new course of study “Acts 29.” If you look at your bible, you will find that there is no Acts 29. The point being that we are Acts 29, the continuation of the Acts of the Apostles.

The author, Dr. Terry Tekyl, a pastor for 28 years, has conducted over 400 seminars on prayer. He has written several books on the subject. He is considered by many to be the father of the prayer room movement.

Acts 29 is based on ten powerful chapters from the book of Acts: Acts 1, Thy Kingdom Come; Acts 2, Apostolic Preaching; Acts 3, Boldness in Jesus' Name; Acts 4, Deliver Us From Evil; Acts 8, Evangelistic Outreach; Acts 9, Damascus Road Conversion; Acts 10, A Harvest of Households; Acts 12, Healing Casualties; Acts 16, Worship Evangelism; and Acts 28, Shake and Bake.

This prayer journey equips you to set the stage for the Holy Spirit to work dramatically in your community just as He did following Pentecost.

Imagine gang members, drug dealers, racists and sex offenders being transformed by the Gospel. Imagine politicians, judges and other influential leaders taking stands based on the Word of God. Imagine hundreds and even thousands of people being saved in a single church service! Imagine the unimaginable. It all happened in the pages of Acts, and it can happen again if you are willing to pray the price.
